Last week's little adventure - we went to La Gomera with our friends, where we spent 2 days only but it was fun and much needed for everyone!.. Here the three of us before leaving the harbour of Los Cristianos on Armas Ferry :)
-
Edu's outside embracing the wind with his fancy new-old Hasselblad
-
What. A. View. ! Mount Teide as seen from our first pit-stop in La Gomera (you can see the harbour where we just arrived couple of minutes earlier!)
-
More stops along the way to Valle Gran Rey where we had a hotel booked for 1 night
-
Edu & Alberto jumping
-
Alena's amazing vegan cake creation.. YUM!
-
We stopped for lunch at Garajonay National Park
-
..then had some 'me' time each one of us.. was so nice to be quiet and just listen to the forest sounds and observe its beauty!.
-
Kept on driving to the next stop where I took this panorama shot: you can see La Palma as well!
-

-
And finally approaching Valle Gran Rey
-
View from our balcony.. How beautiful is this?!
-
Next morning breakfast hunting! this place was Italian-Spanish and we LOVED their tasty sandwiches *mouthwatering
-
Happy me after the breakfast)) If you wanna find it, it's in the area of Calle Abisinia and Tasca Quijote around Playa de Vueltas (just look for that menu sign on their cagey wall and the yellow wall with blue door just like on the photo), sorry I don't have the exact name of the place..:(
-
Edu making friends with local cats :) The usual.. <3
-
Lovely paseo walk to the ocean promenade
-
Sun's getting up and we're moving to the beach too
-
This is our cute little hotel - nothing fancy but squeaky clean and we were so lucky to literally book the last room available on such short notice!!
-
Beautiful Alena <3
-
..posing for me
-
..and for Edu :)
-
And soon after we were back to Tenerife after beach, swim and tasty vegan lunch in Valle Gran Rey (this time I know the name of the place but don't have a photo.. lol: 'OSO CAFE VGR' , Valle Gran Rey, La Gomera)
-
On our way back to Santa Cruz from Los Cristianos we stopped for coffee and gasoline
-
And here are some of the photos that Edu's developed at home from his beautiful analogue Hasselblad... I have the most talented boyfriend - so happy that he's found himself in this hobby of film photography and home developing from scratch!! X
That's it for today :) If you are in Canary Islands I strongly encourage you to travel around the islands to support local businesses but with all safety and common sense measures please (keep the distance and the mask on when inside of spaces), but please also be reasonable and DON't panic - it's not as bad as they tell you on TV, really. What is more sad and dangerous is that some people including yours truly loose big part of their jobs, local businesses have to shut down, and there are almost no tourists at all - the main source of income for ca. 80% of local economy.. Everyone suffers, hence it is SO important to stay calm and keep moving on.
And if you are not in Canary islands or Spain, be safe and be wise.
