Two nice, chilly days in La Laguna

    Hey guys! A couple of days ago we were a bit fed up with the heat and calima, so decided to spend a night in La Laguna Gran Hotel to be able to enjoy one of the coldest towns in Tenerife North :)

    The hotel construction goes back to 1776 when it was built, and it's housed in UNESCO's World Heritage site.

    Went out straight after check-in to explore the city and surroundings

    Was so happy to {finally} wear a hoody/jacket and favourite jeans in that weather =)

Went to this restaurant Bodegon Viana (map HERE ) and had some seriously amazing late lunch with wines (you can see why I'm so happy here)))

    Then continued walking around the centre and found this real gem for beer lovers - 'Beers La Laguna' (food was so-so, but maybe the chef was in a bad mood that day as all reviews I've read were absolutely positive!) :)

Came back to the hotel when it was late night, we slept like logs )))

    Next morning went breakfast hunting first thing in the morning

    Kept cruising La Laguna streets for awhile. So much history these windows and doors have seen!!

    This building in La Laguna is a representation of Spainish architecture: apart from evident flag colours, you can also recognise baroque here, which is the style that most buildings were built in around Madrid centre (Royal Palace, Metropolis corner in Gran Via, Museo de Historia de Madrid, etc)

 A part of an old, interesting building and a piece of street art (that is a trash capsule for recycling glass bottles for example - cute?))) 

And of coooourse, soon as we saw a new, just recently opened Starbucks (map HERE) , we had to get another cuppa coffee.. and another one =D
