Left sunny, warm Santa Cruz and faced fog and cold in the north!! Typical Tenerife, lol..
-
The road between Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo offers great views
-
Road to the sea. Arrived to Punta del Hidalgo
-
The lighthouse that looks a little like from Soviet times..
-
Arriving to our camping spot :)
-
Parked the van literally in a few meters from this breathtaking, dark beauty!..
-
The sound of the ocean was so incredibly wild and loud that we actually struggled to fall asleep at night! But so worth it anyway, just look at this view!!.
-
We had some beers at the ocean and then decided to go for a walk to see what's there before it gets dark, and to take long exposure shots (good that I took my tripod in the last minute before we left the house!)
-
Next morning we decided to go for a walk instead of running, and also it was a good idea since I'd never take a camera with me on a run, therefore would not have taken photos of all the beautiful views and details we saw on our way!.
-
The place is full of slopes and cliffs with little paths between the cactuses. I think I've never seen so many spikes in my life haha!!
-
Yup, don't forget to take your garbage ;)
-
On the way to that beach we saw some surfers, ready to ride the waves with super strong currents that are kinda famous here (hope those surfers are OK!)
-
Cactuses, cactuses everywhere
-
Fluffy (and not) yellow flowers with spikes - dare to touch them? :)
-
And we're down on the beach! Strong ocean's smell, big splashy waves, majestic cliffs above our heads.. all that wilderness and nobody in sight! Rare moment for Tenerife these days with all tourists and visitors coming to the island.

Cute little house on our way back to the van. Lucky those whoever live there, having such fantastic views everyday!
So how's your Sunday going? Here's a bit hot with calima and cloudless sky today, I've been editing last pics pretty much all day long with some breaks for lunch / snacks, now all done and we're planning to go running as today is the training day (ok twas yesterday but we were both a little dead tired after coming back from the camping in El Hierro and catching up with daily stuff, so decided to skip it hehe). If we survive the heat and come back, soon there'll be a post about the island of El Hierro. How beautiful and different from all the Canary islands it is! So tiny yet so diverse, cannot WAIT to share our experience with you guys! Hope you're having a great and relaxed Sunday evening, hugs xx
