Hey guys!! These shots are from our recent little drive to Taganana (since we live quite close by) during sunset. We actually hoped it'd be slightly more dramatic-cinematic, but it was very soft, tender orange-pinky one. Not bad at all, I think :)  Promise I'll try to blog more often - there's lots to tell you about.. so stay tuned :)

Hey guys, today's blog is about one day of hiking in El Pijaral (north of Tenerife, parque rural Anaga) that we were supposed to get permission for but did not...😜 We did try though, but the calendar dates were unavailable up until 2022 !! 

The reason why this part of Tenerife requires permission to walk into is because they're trying to protect the most fragile plants & trees growing at El Pijaral from humans by limiting the amount of people per day. We figured that during ongoing pandemic it's not gonna be too crowded up there, besides, we are very careful and conscious about nature, we'd never leave any rubbish or broken trees behind... Sometimes simple wind does more harm than us anyway !!)))

Well hello there!! How're you? Long time no see...

These past two months were a rollercoaster (as for most of you I'm sure, too!). I'm already preparing a quick summary for the next post, and meantime please check out these new pictures from our short sunset hiking on Teide a few days ago :) 

After the heart warming moment of 'the hills have eyes' we sort of bumped into a whole field of tajinaste, - but none of them were blossoming! What a shame... would be amazing to see so many of them wearing their spring dresses.. Good news though for those of you who decide to go to the same place now - you might get reaally lucky !!

These two images above don't have color editing at all, only contrast correction since the light was a bit too harsh, but these are the real natural colors.. Creepy but aren't they beautiful in their own, strange & creepy way?! :)

Hey guys! Last weekend was my birthday, and the weekend earlier, as a part of my bday surprise, Edu has arranged a loveliest weekend at Melia Palacio hotel in Guia de Isora (South / South-West of Tenerife). What a treat!!! I didn't know anything until literally the last minute, he only said to pack a bikini and 'something warm' just in case... well, that 'just in case' was very useful as it was SO freezing that afternoon when we got there!!! Even mount Teide was covered with snow =)

Hey guys! Hope your week is going well and busy :) Mine not so much atm - have a shoot tomorrow, otherwise it's been 'a little dead'.. so I decided to go to the beach this morning, followed by our run yesterday in the evening at the same beach of Las Teresitas here in Santa Cruz; the sunset was absolutely beautiful; no wind; clearest, calm water - so I made a wish it'll be the same this morning, and it was! Plus super sunny, hot weather... Sharing with you some snapshots (see more on my instagram) and sending you all positive and warm vibes, wherever you are x 

P.S. The water this morning was quite chilly to say the least.. so that makes me sort of a hero and, I hope, you a bit less jealous =)

We drove by the northern road, up via Icod de los Vinos by sandy road (warning: not all cars can go through that road!! Only SUV's / offroaders, so be careful, and, furthermore, connection ain't so good either in case if you'll need grua (evacuation services)..).

I must admit that every time when I'm feeling low and blaming this island for its bureaucracy, isolation from the 'big land', bad volcanic energy  and G-d knows what else (because, you know, when things go bad or just a bit stagnant, you wanna blame whatever & whoever else but not yourself!), I need to remind myself still how bloody lucky I am to live and work here, with the person who I love with all my heart, with THE most amazing, educated cats, to be able to travel between the islands just out of boredom and at the last minute booking, to go snow sliding and next day to swim in the ocean... and many other things. This hurricane Filomena was one of them. We were suffering from the summer heat and begging for rain - we got it. I was feeling nostalgic about snow in Russia - we got that too without even leaving the island... Tenerife has so much to offer if you know where to look and are patient. Even the world pandemic wasn't as bad here as in other countries/cities of the world... And I know that people who have left the island, already miss it and look to come back.

So.. Thank you Tenerife. For all the lessons you taught and keep teaching me. I guess it has become really serious between you & me :)

Hey guys, Happy New Year to you all!!! Hope this is gonna be a better one hehe (so far it is notttttt, but let's be patient here..). We had a quiet Christmas and New Year's Eve celebration at home here in Tenerife, with our beloved cats and enjoying warm +20 C weather! For those of you who don't follow me on Instagram, we have a little surprise that I'll tell about later on ;) And for now lets have a quick trip to the Mount Teide at almost 3,000 m altitude (the highest point of the volcano is 3,715 m). "Its summit is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic.", says Wiki if you check here . We went with Edu and his friend, who also brought his son; we had lots of fun trying to slide down the snowy hills without flying into the clouds through the busy road, lol, (all videos are on my Insta too!). Really nice winter feeling =)
