Hey guys! How's your weekend going? My started simply fantastic: morning run in La Esperanza in sun mixed with clouds (see my IG stories for videos!)), then good lunch with beer, fish (me) and 400 g of meat (Edu), then grocery shopping with lots of good healthy organic food, then we drove to the south for a nearly 3h SPA session in Fañabe, and then treated ourselves with hot Indian dinner at one of our fav restaurants Bombay Babu in El Medano (link here). Now we're just chilling on the sofa, Edu's making work calls and me blogging. I know it might just sound too boring or simple for someone, but I just feel really happy and grateful for today. Hope you've had a great Saturday too, and an even better Sunday <3
Good Friday morning :) It's been crazy days lately for both Edu & me, we've been working a lot, and yesterday I had my driving test and I PASSED it, from the first time!!! How crazy it that, I'm still over the moon and cannot WAIT to hit the roads again =)
Here's a little cheer-up to those of you who cannot wait for the weekend and who miss the sunshine... Last weekend my handsome boyfriend has treated me with a one-night stay in Abama hotel (website), and I was so happy to be able to document most of it on our new little waterproof cam!!!
Here're some photos too ;)
Our room and the most fantastic terrace with the views on La Gomera, pool (one of nine))), and the hotel territory:
As you can see, we've started celebrating right at the lobby., lol.. Celebrating what? The weekend, good vibes, happiness, present moment in life and the luck of being able to live on this beautiful island... cava and beers seemed like the best fit ;)
And below you can check out the video compilation I did during the last couple of days, too! Hope you'll like it - it's my first attempt of such editing, ever =)
Hope you enjoyed watching it! I know there's still a lot to work on, and it's silly and very amateur but for us it's another good memory first of all, and I just wanted to share some nice, positive vibes with you guys :)
That's all for now!
Wishing you all GREAT weekend, full of love and warmth! xxx
And SPORT ;D
Hello guys!!! We are back from our trip to ... ICELAND, as some of you could've guessed already by following me on Instagram, - and it was a real adventure! We're not just tired, - destroyed!! And have lots of things to do that cannot wait, so the photos will follow little by little (hope you're looking forward because we've got tons of them!! hehe).
Our cats were super happy to see us after having different people looking after them for more than a week, and all we want to do right this moment is to cuddle up with them on a sofa and watch 'Secret life of Walter Mitty' ... Then will be work, life, daily routine, but right now it just feels sooooo good to be back HOME again <3
Hello guys! I just came back from Moscow after 7 (!!!) years, and that was.. just great. The city has changed so much (I guess thanks to the WorldCap), the streets and parks were so clean, people become more friendly and even the weather was fantastic! What was initially a quite spontaneous decision, came out one of the best things I've done recently - both for me and for my beloved family.
The trees became taller)); my small brother became bigger than me; my mom didn't change at all :) and I felt totally over the moon to be able to hug them again and walk the places where I grew up...
This is the building where I studied theatre and painting for example. Sadly, since it's the state building, there's 'no money' to take care of it, if you know what I mean. It was pity to see it being destroyed by the hands-of-time..
Little streets between Paveletskaya and Novokuznetskaya are my favorite, with lots of memories and stories from the previous life.. Will always feel very fond of them <3
Was happy to see old buildings are still there and haven't been completely replaced with the new ones, full of glass & concrete and without a character. These old 'monuments' are the real heart of Moscow centre, imo.
Paveletskaya metro station / Novokuznetskaya street
Moving up to Pyatnitskaya street...
After a long walk we had coffee's at cafeteria 'Double B' (the one on Tatarskaya street)
In all honesty I think it was rather a misunderstanding but we didn't like the service there. The coffees were good though, which is most important :) But keep in mind that they charge if you want to choose soya milk, and they don't have milk without lactose nor brown sugar. Also, they confuse the sizes of the cups. Not a biggie but it felt a bit strange..
After coffees we decided to check out the Sokolniki park as it held an Indian fest (Russia and India are friends lately ;). We took subway in order to get there.
Between Paveletskaya, Novokuznetskaya and Tretyakovskaya metro stations
Moscow subway is one of the deepest in the world, and most popular (each day around 3 mio people using it, can you imagine!?)
And we are in Sokolniki park :)
Mum checking the map and market' stalls; group of Indians taking photos durung the Indian fest :)
Then we just kept walking, talking, laughing, taking photos of everything and of each other, resting on benches and overall enjoying the day. It felt so good and happy I remember.. :)
Obviously the more coffee the better (there's no such thing as 'Too Much Coffee' in my whole life haha!). It gives me motivation and kick in the
ass brain to get up and start the day; it gives me inspiration, make me working more efficient, - and how nice it is just to 'Have a coffee break' in general, no matter what time of the day it is? ;)
That's it for now! Edu and I are already packing for the next trip, so you can check Instagram for updates if you wanna see where we're headed to (@miaphotoscom or @miathemia - this is a personal one, sorry I only add friends&family in there!). Next - Moscow trip part 2 and some of the trip we're going to shortly! And soon after I'll reveal something ABSOLUTELY fantastic that we are planning now and kinda keeping as a secret!!! We are both freaking out already and cannot believe it, - so stay tuned not to miss it ;) Hugs to you all xxx
Time to finally reveal some things that've been happening lately, i.e. I've moved to the islands' capital city - Santa Cruz - and started a new life with my boyfriend and three cats (!!!). He bought a house recently and, as you can guess, there's been lots of changes, move arounds, doubts and emotions involved, but so far I can defo tell you two things: there's always a balance, so if you feel low today, there's a good chance that tomorrow you're gonna be happy again! And secondly, don't be afraid of starting anew! Even when life gives you unpleasant surprises (and is not always a beach, hehe), - never ever give up. Believe in yourself and trust people around you who have proved to be your true friends. Don't hold onto the past and people who go away easily from you, - MOVE ON, life is short!! I have to thank quite a few souls out there who've helped me in many ways, including my dear mother, Olga, Amanda, Emily, etc, - and Edu is also one of them. Thanks baby for making me SO happy and LOVED again, you are a true gem and I am the luckiest girl on earth. Can not imagine my life now without you and our small furry family! <3
Apart from moving from south to the north of the island, there's been some changes in our blog , too: Irina and Evgenia went more towards their personal projects, Olga had a baby (biggest baby boy with the most charming smile!!), and lots of other changes that have affected us all directly and indirectly. I'm studying now to get my Spanish driving license sorted out; finished [finally] the NYIP course and got my diploma that's now framed & proudly hanging on the wall; lately been focused a lot on interior photography yet still had a couple of private photosessions; and the last but not least - I've completely re-built my website and decided to start a new personal blog here! Sounds like a lot, right?? Well like said above, - don't be afraid of changes and starting anew. If it won't bring you immediate success, it'll give you an experience to learn from, - and that's priceless x
