The last part of our US trip - almost a whole week in Brooklyn, wandering and cycling through Manhattan streets, meeting old friends and sightseeing again (we both visited NYC before), - ohhh this all feels likes a dream right now, while on lockdown..! I'm actually having such a good time right now writing this post and going through all those photos & memories :)
-
This was our beautiful apartment in Brooklyn from Airbnb. Not gonna put the link though as wasn't very happy with the landlord's rules: we weren't allowed to touch / use / sit on 70% of the apartment's facilities!!! Including that rocketing chair for instance =\
-
..So we didn't spend too much time inside obviously. This was taken on the way from Williamsburg to Lower Manhattan/ East Village part, from a taxi
-
Celebrated Edu's birthday with his amazing friends in a Mexican resto with tacos and micheladas (<3 !!! so delicious)
-
Also went to an Argentinian restaurant with a good friend of mine, - a paradise for meat lovers...the guys were happy :) :)
Then we went to Terminal 5 to see live concert of King Princess, - great experience! I've been at Terminal 5 in 2009 last time to see Air. After the concert we walked to Times Square but it was absolutely freezing so didn't spend much time and came back home.
-
Next day was more walks around Midtown area - Grand Central, NY Public Library, newly reopened and a tad bit expensive MoMA (thanks to our friend who got his membership there, it almost didn't cost us anything) and other famous NY' spots...

In front of Grand Central, by Edu
-
NYC Public Library was super crowded.. I think partly it became even more popular after Sex and the City's 2008 movie, since Carrie and Big were supposed to be married there.. It does really look spectacular.
-
Coming out the Library to the 5th Avenue
-
MoMA posers =)
-
Cycling tour the next morning! We started from East Broadway-ish in the morning and finished late night (with lunch and wine stops, lol))) around Chelsea / Greenwich Village, then came back to East Broadway.
-
Somewhere around Two Bridges
-
9/11 Memorial and Museum & World Trade Center by Santiago Calatrava (below). So emotional and incredibly sad...<3
-
This, I think, was Hudson River Park
-
The High Line sightseeing next day
-
Love this hearts mural as seen from the High Line <3
-
Vessel, Hudson Yards
-
Harlem Meer, Northern part of Central Park - that day we've walked a whole marathon distance =)
-
Our last morning in NYC... sad feeling. Esp when it's autumn with its melancholic mood and vibrant yellow colors..
-
And no matter how long you're staying, how busy this city always is, despite all the crowded streets and crazy traffic, it's never enough of you, New York. Till we see each other again and, hopefully, quite soon <3
Here's a little piece of it, at the legendary Miss Bradshaw' apartment on Perry St. (the link will open in a new window) :
And here's some more of Carrie and Sarah Jessica Parker who I love dearly and who's been my inspiration and salvation of some sort, for many, many years... no matter how sad you are, that girl with her friends and 'her' city will always make you feel a little better. :)
